Plummer completed 15 of 28 passes for 226 yards with one touchdown and one interception while adding two rushes for 15 yards in the Storm's 28-22 playoff loss to the Defenders on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The odds-on MVP favorite experienced some regression at the worst possible time, scuffling throughout most of the afternoon against an aggressive Defenders defense he was facing for a third consecutive week. Plummer did see a 60-yard third-quarter touchdown pass to Jerome Kapp erased by an offensive holding play trigged by Defenders head coach Shannon Harris' super challenge, and he did get into a groove in the fourth quarter, when he connected with Chris Rowland for a 40-yard scoring strike. Despite the unfortunate conclusion to his season, Plummer's 17:1 TD:INT during the campaign should give him a very good chance at both the MVP award and an NFL training camp opportunity this summer.
