The veteran receiver got his second UFL season off to a rousing start, hauling in a 66-yard touchdown pass from Austin Reed on the first play of the second half to extend a 23-3 lead. Ward recorded his first regular-season statistics in any pro football setting since the 2021 season with the Brahmas in 2025, for which he filled a complementary role that led to a 17-116-1 line over seven games (five starts). Ward looks set to play a larger role right from the onset with the Renegades, and his early rapport with Reed is highly encouraging heading into a Week 2 home showdown against the Battlehawks next Tuesday night.
