Merriweather rushed 12 times for 76 yards, brought in one of three targets for three yards and returned three kickoffs for 81 yards during the Renegades' 31-24 loss to the Storm in Week 8.
ANALYSIS
The Massachusetts product came into the contest averaging well under 3.0 yards per carry, but Merriweather upped his efficiency considerably by averaging 6.3 yards per carry. Merriweather's long run was a relatively modest 16 yards, so he consistently generated meaningful gains against the Defenders' spotty run defense. Merriweather put in a productive night on special teams as well, and considering his all-around production, he could well helm the backfield again during a Week 9 road matchup against the Kings next Sunday afternoon.
