Plenty of volume in Week 1 win
Merriweather rushed 13 times for 23 yards and brought in six of eight targets for 47 yards and a touchdown during the Renegades' 36-17 win over the Gamblers in Week 1.
ANALYSIS
While Merriweather was stonewalled on the ground, the Massachusetts product excelled as a receiver out of the backfield. Merriweather finished second in receptions and targets and third in receiving yards on the night for Dallas, adding a three-yard touchdown grab early in the second quarter. Merriweather had an 1,100-yard-plus rushing season in college and recorded 31 career catches across 26 games at the FBS level as well, so he could develop into a true dual threat if the Renegades offensive line can begin to carve out some running lanes consistently.
