The St. Louis Battlehawks selected Cordeiro fifth overall in the 2024 UFL draft, according to their X account.

For four years from 2020 to 2023, Cordeiro was a staple in the Mountain West Conference. The quarterback began playing college football with Hawaii, for whom he logged at least 2,500 scrimmage yards and 20 touchdowns in both his years there. However, Cordeiro made a more significant impact following his college transfer from Hawaii to San Jose State. During each of the QB's two years enrolled at SJSU, he recorded at least 3,000 scrimmage yards and 20 passing touchdowns. Cordeiro is the 2024 UFL draft's first quarterback immediately available to play football, as he is not signed by an NFL team after the Seattle Seahawks waived him back in May.
