Chandler Rogers
Solid in spot duty
Rogers initially took over for an ineffective Jason Bean with 5:05 remaining in the first quarter of the Kings' 19-9 loss to the Storm in Week 2, completing 13 of 20 passes for 152 yards with no touchdowns and one interception and rushed once for 12 yards.
ANALYSIS
Rogers showed some promise during a well-traveled college career that saw him suit up for Southern Miss, Blinn Junior College, Louisiana-Monroe, North Texas and California, but his snaps against the Storm represented his first taste of professional regular-season game action. Rogers was markedly more effective at running a cohesive air attack than Bean, although he was only able to lead Louisville to two field goals. Nevertheless, Rogers may have done enough to earn a Week 3 start in a home rematch against Orlando on Friday night, and if so, he'll likely benefit from a full week of first-team reps.
