Lachaab has joined Sabah FC in Azerbaijan on loan for the 2026/27 season, his parent club announced.
ANALYSIS
Lachaab completed his entire formation at Lille before making two Ligue 1 appearances and one Champions League appearance during the 2024/25 season, signing his first professional contract last summer. A first-half injury disrupted his 2025/26 campaign but he returned to contribute to the reserve team's promotion to National 2, and now heads to the reigning Azerbaijani champions who are also set to compete in the preliminary rounds of the Champions League. Lachaab will link up at Sabah with former Lille teammates Akim Zedadka and Aaron Malouda as he looks to gain regular senior experience ahead of pushing for a first-team role at Lille upon his return.
