Gray began last season strongly for Leeds' U21 side, scoring 11 goals in 14 appearances, before a productive loan spell at Rotherham United yielded three goals in 20 appearances as the forward showed his versatility playing both centrally and out wide. He made his first team debut for Leeds at age 16 against Stoke City during the club's promotion winning 2024/25 campaign, and has been capped by England at U17 level. The move to Sheffield Wednesday gives the 17 year old a fresh test at League One level with a side aiming for an immediate return to the Championship, and his progress at Hillsborough will be one to track through the season.
