Casemiro
34-Year-Old
Manchester United
Premier
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Casemiro started 18 of his 24 Premier League appearances in 2024/25, and while he made his presence felt as a defensive threat (3.45 tackles, 2.0 clearances per game), he didn't do much at the other end. It's hard to see Casemiro as a player who's going to start regularly in midfield, especially since Ruben Amorim's midfield plan might have space for just one defensive midfielder alongside Bruno Fernandes. Another year older at 33, there's a chance he eventually gets phased out from a consistent role in the XI. Then again, he closed last season as a regular, so if he opens 2025/26 in that role, there's still some fantasy value to be had.
Two goal contributions in win
Casemiro scored one goal and assisted once from one shot and one chance created in Sunday's 3-2 win versus Fulham. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 64th minute.
ANALYSIS
Casemiro opened the scoring in the 19th minute with a bullet header after Bruno Fernandes floated in a free kick. He then turned provider for the second, delivering a slick no look pass that released Matheus Cunha for a 56th minute rocket into the roof of the net. Casemiro was solid defensively as usual, adding three tackles and three clearances to cap off a high quality all around shift from the former Merengue.
