Simon recorded two saves and secured a clean sheet in Monday's 1-0 win against Portugal.
Simon was excellent for Spain once again, as he made two saves to hold Portugal from scoring and earn yet another clean sheet. That said, he now has five clean sheets in Spain's five World Cup matches, having yet to allow an opposing team to score. He will now prepare to face Belgium or the USA in the quarterfinals, likely eyeing another clean sheet as Spain continues a historic defensive run.
