Reece James Injury: Still needs to resume training
James (hamstring) is feeling good and targeting availability for Sunday's round of 16 tie against Mexico, though he has yet to return to full training ahead of the fixture, according to Sami Mokbel of BBC Sport.
James missed the last two fixtures with a hamstring issue and his availability remains uncertain despite his optimistic assessment of his own recovery. England will make a final determination on his readiness closer to the match as he continues building back toward full fitness in the days before Sunday's clash. If James has to miss another clash, Djed Spence will likely be the one starting at right-back again, although Ezri Konsa is also a possible option to fill in the role.
