Aebischer was dropped from training yesterday after suffering an undisclosed injury and is now likely to miss out on the round of 16 after he continued not to train on Monday. This will result in the loss of a useful midfield option from the bench, although he only appeared for 19 minutes combined in their past two games. If Switzerland were too advanced, he would hope to be an option for the quarterfinals, but that remains up in the air with little known about his injury.
