Lasse Finn Riess News: Extends deal, loaned to Dusseldorf

Riess has extended his contract with Mainz and joined Fortuna Dusseldorf on a season long loan, according to the club.

Riess came through Mainz's entire youth academy setup and has been part of the club's professional squad since the 2021/22 season. The move to Dusseldorf gives the 24 year old goalkeeper a path to regular third division minutes he has not consistently found at Mainz, with the club planning for his return next summer once the loan concludes.
