Issa Traore News: Loaned to AS Trencin

Traore has joined Slovakian top flight club AS Trencin on a season long loan from Bayer Leverkusen, according to the club. "We see a great talent in Issa, who now needs to gain experience and plenty of playing time in the men's professional game," Football director Kim Falkenberg said.

Traore is a Mali U23 international who joined Leverkusen from Djoliba AC earlier this year and made his first competitive appearance for the club's U19 side in a UEFA Youth League defeat to Villarreal last season. The loan to Trencin, who finished ninth in the Slovakian league last season, gives him a path to senior men's football and regular playing time as he continues his development within Leverkusen's pipeline.
