Facundo Bernal News: Joins Real Betis

Bernal completed a transfer from Fluminense to Real Betis and signed a contract through 2031, the club announced.

Bernal becomes Betis' first signing of the summer after establishing himself as a promising midfielder in Uruguay and Brazil. The 22-year-old began his professional career with Defensor Sporting before moving to Fluminense, where he continued his development at a higher level. A regular for Uruguay's youth national teams, he also earned his senior international debut in 2024. Bernal brings energy, defensive work rate and technical quality in midfield, and he will look to compete for a role in the rotation as he adapts to La Liga.
