10th in Grand Prix of Long Beach
Simpson picked up his second Top-10 finish of the NTT IndyCar Series season with a 10th-place result in the Grand Prix of Long Beach.
ANALYSIS
Simpson's tenure with Chip Ganassi Racing continues to be uneven as he sits just 17th in points, the same spot he finished in in 2025. Sunday's 10th-place result equaled his best finish of the 2026 season, and he hasn't finished better than 10th since Nashville last August. The series will now head to Indianapolis for a race on the road course at IMS, a track that hasn't been kind to Simpson so far in his IndyCar career. He was unable to even start last year's race due to a clutch issue.
