Jake Garcia

ThorSport Racing
2026 Fantasy Outlook
The young driver posted the best numbers of his truck series career in 2025. Garcia would rack up three pole positions, lead 62 laps and nab 10 Top-10 finishes last season. He would end up a respectable 10th-place in the final driver point standings. Garcia returns to the No. 98 ThorSport Racing team in the upcoming season. He'll once again team with Jeriod Prince at crew chief and look to build on the solid results they posted last year. Garcia is still looking for his first series win after 75 starts in this division of NASCAR. He'll likely get it in 2026. He was very close in a couple occasions last year and certainly Garcia looks very sharp on short tracks. One of those will yield a win to him in the upcoming campaign. Read Past Outlooks

Craftsman Truck Series
May 1, 2026
Garcia was fastest in Happy Hour practice for the SpeedyCash.com 250 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday. He turned a fast lap of 184.496 mph.
ANALYSIS
Ford drivers dominated this lone session ahead of pole qualifying in Fort Worth. Blue oval drivers would take five of the Top 6 speeds in this practice with Garcia securing the top spot in his No. 98 Ford truck. He would edge Ben Rhodes for the fastest lap of the session. Garcia looks like a Top-5 threat for Friday night's SpeedyCash.com 250.

2025
2024
2023
Garcia had a bet of a letdown in his second full season in the truck series last year. The move to ThorSport Racing didn't go seamlessly and the young driver struggled to produce results. So, we've taken a bit of a reserved approach to his prospects for 2025. Garcia showed he has much more to offer in his 2023 campaign when he chalked up nine Top-10 finishes and a 13th-place points finish for former boss, Bill McAnally. He'll look to rediscover that success with another campaign at ThorSport. Garcia should have all the equipment and personnel to succeed in the upcoming season, but a lot of responsibility and pressure will be on him to perform.
Garcia wound up second in the ROTY chase last season, but he still had a very successful rookie campaign. He would grab three Top-5 and nine Top-10 finishes with his former team at McAnally-Hilgemann Racing. The 18-year-old talent now moves into the No. 13 Ford of ThorSport Racing that was piloted by Hailie Deegan last season. They'll not only have a new driver for 2024, but new sponsors and a new crew chief. So the No. 13 team is hitting the reset button to a good extent. However, it's the same team excellence that we've come to expect from ThorSport Racing. With Garcia behind the wheel, this should easily be a Top-10 team at season's end.
The soon to be 18-year-old (March) dipped his toes into the truck series pool last season to the tune of five starts. Garcia was reasonably competitive in those races, collecting a pair of Top-20 finishes and learning a lot of lessons in that seat time. He now moves to full-time and will compete in what is a very deep rookie class for the upcoming season. The good news is that veteran crew chief, Chad Norris, has been tabbed to guide Garcia this season. The two worked together last year and began establishing some chemistry. Garcia's background is not quite as deep as some of the other rookie drivers this season, so he faces an uphill battle to perform in this team's third truck.
