Gio Ruggiero

TRICON Garage
2026 Fantasy Outlook
The rookie campaign would go pretty well for Ruggiero. He would capture Rookie of the Year honors in 2025, rack up one win and 11 Top-10 finishes as well as two pole positions. The 21-year-old talent showed a good balance of skill on all size ovals and road circuits as well. That versatility served him well in his ROTY campaign, and it will serve him well moving forward. Ruggiero returns to TRICON and the No. 17 Toyota for another season and he'll look to become a multi-race winner in 2026. The championship is probably out of reach for this young driver and very capable race team. However, Ruggiero is a talent to watch closely going into the new season and he's only going to get better. Third in FR8 208
Craftsman Truck Series
February 21, 2026
Ruggiero finished third in the FR8 208 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at EchoPark Speedway on Saturday afternoon.
ANALYSIS
The good start to the season continued for Ruggiero in Atlanta. He'd start inside the Top 10 and battle there all afternoon long in the FR8 208. Ruggiero would be in position to battle for the win after the final caution of the day. He'd mix it up with Ben Rhodes, Kyle Busch and Carson Hocevar over the final circuits of Atlanta. Ruggiero would keep Rhodes at bay for a strong third-place finish at EchoPark Speedway.

2025 Fantasy Outlook
The 20-year-old has made quite a name for himself in the various ARCA Menards Series and is now ready for his first action in the Craftsman Truck Series. Reggiero's efforts caught the attention of TRICON Garage and they signed him to take over the seat of the No. 17 Toyota. Taylor Gray piloted this truck last season to good results with 14 Top-10 finishes and a strong sixth-place points finish. Under Gray's guidance the team flirted with victory lane a couple times but couldn't cash in. Ruggiero will be teamed with crew chief, Jerame Donley, and his two seasons of truck series experience. This young driver and his strong race team will be one of the leading contenders for Rookie of the Year and could possibly press inside Top 10 of the driver points.
