Rosenqvist will lead the field to the green flag after winning pole for Sunday's Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, Motorsport reports.
ANALYSIS
Alex Palou had looked like he wrapped up his first-career Long Beach pole but the driver of the No. 60 Meyer Shank Honda knocked him from atop the time sheets. Rosenqvist's lap of 1:07.4635 would hold up and hold off Pato O'Ward by just 0.0441-seconds to claim the pole position. It was his first pole of the season and seventh-career IndyCar pole position.
