Daniel Dye

22-Year-Old Driver
Live Fast Motorsports
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Dye's O'Reilly Series run would end abruptly as Kaulig would decide to shift from that division and into the trucks in 2026. The young driver will move back into this racing series after a one-season hiatus. In 2024 Dye racked up nine Top-10s and a 10th-place points finish for his former MHR team in the truck series. The young Floridian brings 91-combined starts of experience between the O'Reilly and Craftsman Truck Series to the table and will look for strong results in Kaulig's new venture with Dodge into this division of NASCAR. Mopar has come on board as the primary sponsor for the team, but we don't know who will serve as crew chief at the time of this writing. Dye has a good amount of potential and room for growth is this race team can come together quickly. Read Past Outlooks

2023
Dye is another young driver who is switching from part-time to full-time in the Xfinity Series this season. He made 10 starts for Kaulig Racing in the No. 10 Chevrolet last season and earned some respectable results. Dye would collect two Top-10 and three Top-15 finishes in those 10 starts and post a 20.2 average finish. He has less than 50 starts in the truck series and just a dozen starts in the Xfinity Series. Dye has a lot to learn still but is a good raw talent. He has to learn how to win not just be consistent. He seems to have the consistency down but has been missing the ingredients to win at the various stages of his development. Dye will grow with this team as he takes on his first full slate of races, but the learning curve could be steep at times. He'll make his presence known in the ROTY chase, but not a top contender to win.
Dye had a bit of a lackluster rookie season in 2023 with the former GMS Racing. He'd struggle to just one Top-10 finish and wind up 18th in the final driver standings. The talented youngster showed that in good equipment he could be pretty consistent and excellent in the ARCA Menards Series. He'll get another season with the MHR team in this same No. 43 Chevrolet. Dye has a lot to prove in 2024 as his average finish of 20.2 in his rookie campaign fell short of expectations. At the point of this writing, his crew chief has not been named by the team. This will be a pretty key piece to any potential improvement and success. Dye is clearly talented but still has a lot to learn about driving this NASCAR trucks.
The 19-year-old Floridian has been raising eyebrows in the ARCA Menards Series the last couple years, so he's gotten the attention of noteworthy teams in the Craftsman Truck Series. GMS Racing wasted no time signing Dye last October to compete full-time in their No. 43 Chevy truck. Dye will be paired with crew chief Travis Sharpe for this rookie season and the two will look to elevate this team immediately. The young driver, while winless last season in the ARCA Menards Series, showed great maturity and consistency and finished runner-up in the championship standings of 2022. Dye has great potential and will battle hotly with drivers like Nick Sanchez and Rajah Caruth for rookie of the year honors.
