Lundgaard would overcome early-race contact and losing a lot of track position to rally back Sunday at the Elkhart Lake road circuit. He would take the lead for the second time and final time of the day on lap 52 when leader, Marcus Armstrong, would slow due to a mechanical issue. Lundgaard would hang on during the wild final laps to claim the victory, his second of the season and third of his career.
