ANALYSIS
After a bit of a rough start to her UFC tenure, Hardy has found more success of late, winning four of her last fights, most recently defeating Brogan Walker via decision in October. Her last six fights have gone to the judges, and if she's going to outlast Barbosa here, she'll have to do a better job defending the takedown than her 51 percent career takedown defense suggests. Barbosa has slight height and reach advantages, in addition to averaging an impressive 2.4 takedowns per 15 minutes of fight time.

Fresh off a lopsided unanimous decision defeat to Eduarda Moura her last time out in November, Hardy was given a layup here to get back on track and took full advantage. Entering as north of a -900 favorite, Veronica kept things simple and didn't take many chances, knowing only a mistake could cost her the fight.
