June 8, 2026
Montanha will take on Louie Sutherland in a heavyweight matchup at UFC Vegas 120 on August 8, Marcel Dorff of Heavy on Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Originally schedule to make his UFC debut a few weeks earlier at UFC Vegas 119, Montanha will see that date pushed back a bit following the withdrawal of Jhonata Diniz (undisclosed). In steps Sutherland, who was finished in his first two UFC bouts before taking a unanimous decision from a washed-up Tai Tuivasa last May. Luiz has collected three-straight finishes on the Brazilian regional circuit, so while he's a bit of an unknown, he's getting a more-than-reasonable opponent for his official company debut.
