Urbina will take on Vlasto Cepo in a middleweight bout at UFC Belgrade on Aug. 1, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Urbina is coming off two straight losses. He last fell at the hands of Uros Medic in the first round of a fight back in August of 2025, and that dropped his UFC record to 1-3. He hasn't made it past the first round of a fight since his last win, a victory over Orion Cosce back in 2023.

Finished brutally in Vegas
WelterweightUFC
August 10, 2025
Urbina lost to Uros Medic via KO (punch) at 1:03 of Round 1 at UFC Vegas 109 on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Urbina is probably kicking himself here. He was credited with a knockdown early in the fight with a right hand that sent Medic to the canvas, but he failed to jump on his opponent, instead taking a patient approach. That allowed Medic to get back to his feet, and Medic -- a (-400) betting favorite -- was quickly finding a fight-ending combo. After eating a knee, Urbina fell right into a nasty left hand that had him out cold, but Medic still worked in a hammerfist for good measure. The loss marks Urbina's second consecutive defeat and third in four UFC fights. The company could decide to move on, but either way, Urbina likely needs some time off after this one.
Scheduled against Medic
WelterweightUFC
July 28, 2025
Urbina will face Uros Medic in a welterweight bout at UFC Vegas 109 on August 9, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Urbina was scrapped from UFC Denver in 2024, and hasn't fought since February of that year against Charles Radtke, whom he lost to in the first round. Urbina has lost three of his last four fights, three of which came in the UFC. He'll look to reverse that trend against Medic, a slightly more experienced UFC combatant who is also looking to bounce back following a defeat.
Removed from UFC Denver
WelterweightUFC
June 26, 2024
Urbina is not fighting Mike Malott at UFC Denver on July 13, according to Aaron Bronsteter of Sportsnet.
ANALYSIS
Urbina will have to avenge his February loss some other time. An undisclosed injury is preventing the fight from happening, and it remains unclear who is injured between him and Malott.
Scheduled against Malott
WelterweightUFC
April 24, 2024
Urbina is scheduled to compete against Mike Malott in a welterweight fight at the UFC's July 13 event, Sportsnet reports.
ANALYSIS
This will be Urbina's second opportunity to log his first win in 2024. The first chance resulted in a TKO loss, the same way Urbina's next opponent also lost to end his 2023, a year in which Malott went 2-1.
Crushed by Charles Radtke
WelterweightUFC
February 3, 2024
Urbina lost to Charlie Radtke via TKO (punches) at 4:47 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's only February, but Urbina as a -220 favorite could easily go down as one of the worst lines of the year. He spent as long as the fight lasted serving as a punching bag for Radtke, who isn't exactly known as a top prospect at age 33. It was such a poor performance from Urbina that it makes you wonder if he entered with some type of injury. Having alternated losses and wins in his first three UFC bouts, Gilbert needs a massive rebounded performance his next time out.
