Needs new opponent
Guskov (not injury related) will not fight Jan Blachowicz at UFC 328 on May 9, according to Mike Bohn of MMAJunkie.com.
ANALYSIS
Guskov is ready to fight, but Blachowicz recently blew out a meniscus in one of his knees, leaving the former needing a new opponent. There is at least a slight chance Guskov's early-May fight gets canceled, though time does remain for the UFC to find him a quality opponent.

Rematch announced for May
Guskov will fight Jan Blachowicz at UFC 328 on May 9, Aaron Bronsteter of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Guskov will get a quick rematch date against Blachowicz, who he fought to a majority draw back in December. Prior to that, Guskov had strung together four straight stoppage wins, vaulting him into the top 10 of the light heavyweight rankings after debuting in 2023. He'll need to showcase a better gameplan after escaping a near defeat versus Blachowicz in their previous encounter.

Fights to UFC 323 draw
Guskov and Jan Blachowicz fought to a majority draw (28-29, 28-28, 28-28) at UFC 323 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This fight was a mixed bag for Guskov, and he was ultimately quite lucky to emerge with the draw. On a positive note, he was responsible for the biggest moments of the bout. He knocked Blachowicz down in Round 2 and landed countless monster shots from top position. Two of the three judges felt he did enough in the frame to earn a 10-8 score. Outside of that, it wasn't great. Guskov absorbed far too many leg kicks from Jan and appeared gassed for the duration of Round 3. He was also nearly finished in the dying seconds. This result isn't going to quiet the concerns that Bogan is a one-dimensional power puncher. He is, however, unbeaten in his last five fights (4-0-1).

Next fight scheduled
Guskov will fight Jan Blachowicz at UFC 323 on Dec. 6, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Guskov will look to win a fifth bout on a stoppage, and the hard-hitting 33-year-old is fresh off a first-round KO of Nikita Krylov in late July. His opponent, Blachowicz, lost in his most recent fight, which came after a nearly two-year absence due to injury.

Fourth straight stoppage win
Guskov defeated Nikita Krylov via KO (punches) at 4:18 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
Guskov continues his rise up the thin light heavyweight rankings, doing so in dominating fashion. A monstrous power puncher, Guskov floored Krylov with a right hand a little over four minutes in. He the unloaded follow-up shots until referee Marc Goddard had seen enough. Bogdan lacks secondary offensive skills, and his striking defense is questionable, but the power is very clearly legitimate. He's now won four in a row dating back to February 2024, all via stoppage. He's due for a big fight in a 205-pound division that needs all the legitimate contenders it can find.

Scheduled against Krylov
Guskov is scheduled to compete against Nikita Krylov in a light heavyweight fight at UFC Abu Dhabi on July 26, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Guskov has a prime opportunity to get his fourth consecutive stoppage win. Krylov's last fight was barely a month ago, and he got knocked out at the hands of Dominick Reyes. Guskov has stopped Zac Pauga, Ryan Spann and Billy Elekana going into the Krylov fight.
