Last season, MacEwan played in 21 regular-season games for the Senators and likely will see similar deployment during the 2025-26 campaign, splitting his time between the NHL and AHL. Given his lack of a defined role with Ottawa, the 29-year-old center is unlikely to offer much in the way of fantasy value moving forward. Even when he does play in the NHL, MacEwan has offered limited offensive upside, generating just three points in those 21 appearances.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Might return Monday
MacEwen could return from an upper-body injury against the Islanders on Monday after taking line rushes at the game-day skate, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
MacEwen has been sidelined for the Devils' last 13 games due to his upper-body problem but looks ready to get back into the lineup Monday. In order to suit up versus New York, the 29-year-old center will need to first be activated off injured reserve. Even once given the all-clear, MacEwen is far from a lock to play on a nightly basis and may be a healthy scratch on occasion.
