2025 Fantasy Outlook
Since getting a full-time role in the NHL, Cuylle has taken it and ran with it. Missing just one game over the last two seasons, Cuylle was a surprise player on the Rangers in 2024-25. He scored 20 goals and added 25 assists from a middle-six role, his plus-12 rating led the team and he was one of just four players in the league to exceed 300 hits (301). He did this despite finishing the year without a power-play role and with just three power-play points all season. Still ascending at just 23 years old, the only thing that could prevent Cuylle from kicking it into overdrive next season is a limited role. The Rangers' top six is crowded, especially if highly-regarded prospect Gabe Perreault breaks into the lineup. 2024 Fantasy Outlook
Cuylle put together a decent rookie campaign in which he generated 13 goals on 119 shots, eight assists and 249 hits while averaging 11:08 of ice time over 81 games for the Rangers. The power forward has shown his offensive upside in the minors but will need to continue to make strides at the NHL level if he wants to be more than a bottom-six option. Even then, the Toronto native will be hard-pressed to break into either of the team's power-play units, which will likely limit his ability to reach higher offensive output. Still, don't sleep on Cuylle's ability to dish out hits, adding more value in certain formats.
