Reunites with Vegas
Olofsson signed a one-year, $1,638,330 contract with the Golden Knights on Wednesday, per PuckPedia.
ANALYSIS
Olofsson spent 2025-26 with the Avalanche and the Flames, earning a total of 13 goals, 18 assists, 147 shots on net and a plus-5 rating over 78 regular-season games. The 30-year-old winger has topped the 30-point mark five times in his seven full NHL seasons, but this was the first time he had done so since 2022-23. This will be his second stint with the Golden Knights, and he'll likely be tasked with filling at least part of the power-play void left behind by Vegas' trade that sent Pavel Dorofeyev to the Rangers.

For both the Avs and fantasy managers, Olofsson is a high-upside option heading into the 2025-26 campaign and only becomes high risk on the fantasy side if he gets taken too early in drafts and underperforms -- for Colorado, there is minimal risk considering he signed a one-year, $1.575 million deal that won't lingering long-term if he struggles. When in the lineup for Vegas last year, the 30-year-old Swede was solidly productive with 15 goals and 14 helpers in 56 regular-season games -- the problem was he couldn't stay in the lineup, serving as a healthy scratch periodically while also missing over a month early in the season due to injury. While Olofsson figures to start the year in a third-line role with the Avs, he could be a strong candidate to move up the lineup, which would significantly bolster his fantasy value.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Candidate for top six, power play
Olofsson could get looks in the top six and on the first power-play unit during 2025-26, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports Friday.
ANALYSIS
The Avalanche are looking for a replacement on the right side of their top power-play unit after last season's Mikko Rantanen trade. Olofsson isn't the only candidate to be tried in that spot, but his success as a shooter with the man advantage will earn him some looks. His chances in the top six could also come alongside Nathan MacKinnon if the Avalanche decide to spread talent throughout the roster rather than loading up one or two lines. A spot alongside MacKinnon revived Jonathan Drouin's career, so it could also work wonders if Olofsson ends up there for most of the year.
