2025 Fantasy Outlook
It was a homecoming of sorts for Teravainen in 2024-25, returning to the team he spent his first three seasons with, including winning a Stanley Cup. The 30-year-old recorded 58 points as a fixture in the top six for all 82 games. Moving forward, with guys like Oliver Moore and Frank Nazar looking to latch on to full-time NHL spots, Teravainen’s role might be reduced heading into next season. It’ll be worth monitoring the playmaking winger’s linemates and power play usage in training camp and into the preseason. If Teravainen continues to play in the top six and on the power play, the young talent of the Blackhawks could propel him to another sneaky solid campaign Read Past Outlooks
Questionable for Friday
Teravainen (undisclosed) could have aggravated a pre-existing injury at practice Thursday, according to Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times.
ANALYSIS
Teravainen has three goals in his last two games, giving the veteran 13 goals and 15 assists in 54 games. The Blackhawks will presumably monitor Teravainen leading up to Friday's game against the Canucks.

Teravainen agreed to a three-year, $16.2 million contract with Chicago after spending the last eight seasons with Carolina. The 29-year-old forward was selected with the No. 18 overall pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the Blackhawks. He produced 17 goals and 44 points across 115 regular-season outings before being traded to the Hurricanes in a cost-cutting move. Teravainen surpassed the 60-point plateau four times with Carolina, including a 76-point showing in 2018-19. Last campaign, he registered 25 goals and 28 assists in 76 contests to rebound from a disappointing 37-point display the previous year. Teravainen was a streaky scorer in 2023-24, which could hinder his fantasy value, but the potential to play alongside Connor Bedard makes him an intriguing option. Teravainen could return to the 60-point range in 2024-25 if he plays regularly on the Blackhawks' top line and sees time on the first power-play unit.
