2025 Fantasy Outlook
Stamkos inked a four-year, $32 million contract with Nashville in free agency in 2024 after spending the first 16 years of his career with Tampa Bay. The two-time Stanley Cup champion had one of his most disappointing seasons since entering the league in 2008-09, notching 27 goals and 53 points over 82 outings, and his minus-36 rating was by far the worst of his career. The one-timer specialist put at least 240 shots on goal in each of his final three seasons with the Lightning, but registered only 174 this past year, which helps explain why he failed to reach the 30-goal mark for the first time over a full campaign since 2017-18. Stamkos isn’t getting any younger, but he could still flirt with scoring 30 goals given his lethal shot, even if his days of being a point-per-game player are a thing of the past. Read Past Outlooks

ANALYSIS
Stamkos has five goals and two assists over his last five outings. The 36-year-old has netted 24 of his goals since the start of December, reversing what looked to be a second straight down season at the start of the campaign. Stamkos is back to the 30-goal mark for the 10th time in his 18 NHL seasons, and he's added 16 assists, 148 shots on net, 68 hits, 32 PIM and a minus-15 rating over 59 appearances.

For the first time in his storied 17-year NHL career, Stamkos will don a sweater other than the blue and white bolt of the Tampa Bay Lightning. After failing to come to terms with his former club, the two-time Stanley Cup champion secured a four-year, $32 million contract with Nashville during the offseason. While there could be an adjustment period for the veteran forward, he's shown little sign of a potential decline in productivity and should still be capable of pushing for both the 40-goal and 80-point thresholds during the 2024-25 campaign. Stamkos was a fixture on the top line during his tenure with the Lightning, but he may find himself as the second-line left wing with Filip Forsberg entrenched on Nashville's first line. Stamkos is still a lock to feature with the No. 1 power-play unit.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Plenty of teams interested
Stamkos is drawing interest from 3-4 teams ahead of Friday's trade deadline, according to Pierre LeBrun of TSN.
ANALYSIS
Stamkos has a no-movement clause in his contract and has already said he has no interest in leaving Nashville, but that hasn't dissuaded teams from inquiring about the talented winger. Stamkos has 30 goals and 47 points in 61 games, posting 29 goals and 16 helpers in his last 47 appearances. Should he decide to waive his no-movement clause, Stamkos would bring back plenty of assets to Nashville in a trade.
