2025 Fantasy Outlook
Perunovich signed with Utah in the offseason after he didn’t receive a qualifying offer from the Islanders. He had trouble staying in the lineup with New York and St. Louis in 2024-25 while posting two goals, nine points, 18 shots on net, 15 hits and 37 blocked shots across 35 regular-season outings. He has some offensive potential and can supply plenty of blocks, but he isn’t a sure thing to play regularly for the Mammoth, either. However, he could be an interesting roster addition if he lands a power-play role at some point in the 2025-26 campaign. Read Past Outlooks
Three-point effort in AHL win
Perunovich scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Tucson's 5-4 overtime win over Bakersfield on Friday.
ANALYSIS
The goal was Perunovich's first of the season. Through 22 outings, he's racked up 15 points, 25 shots on net and a minus-5 rating. The defenseman is set for his first full AHL campaign after splitting time between the AHL and NHL in most of the last four years, as well as an injury-riddled 2022-23. His scoring potential is still obvious, but he has no clear path to the Mammoth's roster.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024

2020
The upcoming season will be a big one for Perunovich, as he could be in line for top power-play minutes and figures to be a full-time NHL option after logging just 54 NHL games for the Blues last year. The 25-year-old blueliner is still looking for his first NHL goal but did manage to chip in 17 assists, including six with the man advantage, during the previous campaign. The addition of veteran Ryan Suter could create some competition for power-play ice time, which would certainly hurt Perunovich's offensive upside. Still, if he can suit up in a full 82-game campaign, or at least something close, the Minnesota native could put together a career year in which he pushes for the 30-point mark.

Reevaluation coming after break
Perunovich will be out through the All-Star break, but he hopes to return Feb. 10 on the road against Buffalo. The 25-year-old was originally expected to be out longer than just the break, but he is in a walking boot now and will be evaluated immediately after the NHL's hiatus, per Lou Korac of NHL.com
ANALYSIS
Perunovich has had a nice bounce-back year thus far after missing all of last year because of an injury. The 25-year-old has recorded 12 assists this season, with six coming on the power play. He will look to help a Blues team that has surprised a lot of people this year -- St. Louis is currently sitting in a wild-card spot.
