Tomasino had one assist in 11 appearances with Nashville in 2024-25 before being traded to Pittsburgh in late November. He was much more productive following the move, notching 11 goals and 23 points in 50 appearances for the Penguins, but he ran into some issues with offensive consistency. Tomasino had success in a top-six role alongside Evgeni Malkin and Michael Bunting but slipped to a bottom-six role down the stretch. Tomasino notched seven goals and 20 points in 41 games with the Predators last campaign. He had trouble staying in the lineup, serving as a healthy scratch and spending time in the minors. Tomasino averaged only 12:34 of ice time. The 23-year-old forward registered 11 goals and 18 points in 22 regular-season outings for AHL Milwaukee in 2023-24. It will be difficult for him to play at the NHL level in 2024-25 after the Predators signed Steven Stamkos and Jonathan Marchessault in the summer. Tomasino has offensive upside but may need a change of scenery to be worthy of a roster spot in fantasy leagues.
