Giles had 23 points in 66 regular-season games with AHL Charlotte in 2023-24, but his numbers decreased in 2024-25, when he had 11 points in 47 regular-season outings between Charlotte and San Jose at the AHL level. In the NHL, he added one goal in 17 appearances between the Panthers and the Sharks. A deadline trade to San Jose gives Giles a better chance of more NHL action in 2025-26, but the 25-year-old is unproven and will be on a rebuilding team, so there's little chance of a breakout campaign being on the way.
