ANALYSIS
Philp scored two goals and three points in 17 regular-season outings between Edmonton and Carolina in 2025-26. He's up to two goals and five points in 32 career NHL regular-season games. He wasn't with the Hurricanes during the team's Stanley Cup-winning playoff run this year, but he did help AHL Chicago get to the Calder Cup Finals. He had eight goals and 17 points in 29 regular-season outings for the Wolves, followed by six goals and 14 points in 21 playoff appearances.

2025 Fantasy Outlook
Philp secured a one-year, two-way deal with Edmonton over the summer after recording two assists, two PIM, 17 shots, 15 hits and seven blocks in 15 regular-season outings with the Oilers in 2024-25. The 27-year-old also provided 19 goals, 35 points and 29 PIM in 55 regular-season appearances with AHL Bakersfield. Like many would-be fourth-liners, Philp has the potential to be a solid source of PIM and hits if he plays with Edmonton. However, he will likely start 2025-26 in the minors, and there’s no guarantee he’ll see time in the NHL during the campaign.
