2026 Fantasy Outlook
Suzuki's iron-man streak rolled on, and so did his ascent. The Canadiens captain authored a career year with 29 goals and 72 assists across all 82 regular-season games, getting Montreal back to the playoffs and reinforcing his status as a legitimate top-line center. The playmaking made the leap stick -- 11 goals and 32 assists on the power play translated to one of the league's better man-advantage seasons -- and his plus-37 rating, 62 hits and 62 blocked shots gave him cross-category appeal that fantasy managers rarely see from a pure pivot. At 27 years old and with Cole Caufield on his wing, Suzuki should remain comfortably above point-per-game pace in 2026-27. He's a strong early-round target with the durability profile to anchor your roster from opening night to Game 82. Read Past Outlooks
Distributes three helpers in win
Suzuki notched three assists, four shots on goal, two hits, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Hurricanes in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
ANALYSIS
Suzuki earned his third multi-point effort of the postseason. He had a hand in Cole Caufield's goal in the first period as well as both of Juraj Slafkovsky's tallies in the final frame. Suzuki is up to four goals, 12 assists, eight power-play points, 31 shots, 29 hits, 16 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 15 playoff outings. He should continue to generate plenty of offense from a top-line role.

Suzuki tallied 30 goals and set a new career high with 89 points across 82 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. That success helped to push him and the Canadiens into the playoffs for the first time since 2021. Now 26 years old, we’ve probably seen about the peak of what he can offer. It’s not enough to compete for a Hart Trophy, but Suzuki is a solid top-line center. It’d be interesting to see what he could do if he had more of a shoot-first mentality, given his impressive 17.1 shooting percentage over the past three campaigns, but that just doesn’t seem to be in his nature, and fantasy managers should expect him to finish sub-200 again in shots for 2025-26. However, he’s one of the safer options out there -- Suzuki has the league’s third-best active iron man streak at 455 games, so his durability is without question.

ANALYSIS
Suzuki is coming off a career year in which he crossed both the 30-goal and 75-point thresholds for the first time in his five-year NHL career. The 24-year-old center's productivity was bolstered by the fact he racked up 31 points with the man advantage. Suzuki should be expected to continue featuring as the No. 1 center next year.
