After reaching the 20-point mark in each of his first two NHL campaigns, Perbix fell just short of that during the 2024-25 regular season, finishing with six goals and 19 points to go along with 20 PIM, 66 shots, 50 hits and 66 blocks. While that represents a mild decline in his production from his career high of 24 points in 2023-24, it’s arguably impressive that the drop wasn’t more substantial given that he averaged just 14:41 of ice time last season, down from 17:05 a year prior. The move from Tampa Bay to Nashville should do him some good. While Perbix won’t be one of the Predators’ main workhorses from the blue line, he should at least get more use than he saw with the Lightning, and that makes it likely for him to see a moderate uptick in points, hits and blocks in 2025-26. Perbix has quickly become a dependable part of the Lightning's blue line over his first two NHL seasons. The 26-year-old generated 24 points, 80 hits and 114 blocked shots across 77 games last while averaging just 17:05 of ice time. With Mikhail Sergachev out of the picture, Perbix is locked into a full-time role in his third NHL season, but it's unlikely that he handles much power-play time as long as Victor Hedman, J.J. Moser and Ryan McDonagh are healthy.
