Frost was one of 67 forwards who finished with 30-40 points in 2024-25 -- more specifically, 14 goals and 23 assists in 81 outings between Philadelphia and Calgary -- so it’s hard for a player at that production level to stand out. However, Frost did have one quirk about him: His 15 power-play points was the third most among those 67 players. That could be seen as a positive if your league uses PPP as a category, but it also makes him vulnerable: If he loses that power-play assignment, then there’s not much value left. Fortunately, the Flames are projected to continue to utilize him with the man advantage, so another campaign of roughly the same level of production should be anticipated. This was Frost's first multi-point effort since March 7 versus the Hurricanes. He's scored four goals and added two assists over his last seven outings. The 26-year-old center also won 16 of 21 draws Saturday. He's been good at the dot all year, winning a career-best 57.0 percent of his faceoffs. Frost is also up to 18 goals, 20 helpers, 121 shots on net, 47 hits, 35 blocked shots and a minus-15 rating over 73 appearances. He looks poised to get back over the 40-point mark after missing it last year.

Frost generated 13 goals and 41 points in 71 games last season. Despite finishing with fewer goals and points than he had in 2022-23, the 25-year-old forward improved his assist and point rates per 60 minutes last campaign. Frost got off to a sluggish start before accounting for seven tallies and 22 assists over a 35-game span from Jan. 6 to March 26. He was also more productive during the second half of the 2022-23 campaign. Frost has plenty of upside, and the possibility of playing alongside dynamic rookie Matvei Michkov is intriguing. Still, Frost will likely be available on waivers in most redraft leagues at the beginning of the year. He is worth monitoring for a potential pickup, especially if he can break his habit of slow starts.
