The Oilers are counting on Savoie this coming season to grab a roster spot, maybe even on the wing of either Connor McDavid or Leon Draisaitl. He shone for AHL Bakersfield last season, scoring 19 goals and 35 assists in 66 games. The allure of an offensively gifted talent that could play with McDavid or Draisaitl is very appealing, but it's important to note that Savoie has just five NHL games to his name so far. Additionally, it's likely that he won't be playing on Edmonton's top power-play unit, so his production might be heavily reliant on even-strength. Regardless, it's impossible to ignore the high ceiling that the 21-year-old has in fantasy contexts, and he's certainly worth a late-round draft pick as a high-risk, high-reward breakout candidate.
