He missed the first 49 games of the season with an undisclosed injury and never got untracked all year. Pospisil will look to fill out a bottom-six role next season, as he still has two years remaining on the three-year deal he signed in July of 2025.

It’s no mystery what kind of player Pospisil is. He ranked 18th in the league in PIM with 84 and tied for third in hits with 301 across 81 appearances with Calgary in 2024-25. He also chipped in a bit offensively, but his four goals and 25 points certainly wasn’t at the heart of his value. Still just 25 years old (26 on Nov. 19), Pospisil figures to employ his physical style for many seasons to come. He could still have a little more growth offensively, but if you’re looking for PIM and hits, then he’ll deliver that in spades.
