In his first NHL campaign with the Islanders, Gatcomb registered eight goals, nine points and 149 hits across 39 appearances. The gritty forward re-upped with the Isles in the offseason, penning a one-year deal, and he’ll battle for a fourth-line role during training camp. Considering he likely won’t be a lineup fixture in 2025-26, he shouldn’t be on most fantasy managers’ radars. Furthermore, the 26-year-old had a 19.5 shooting percentage on just 41 shots on goal in 2024-25, and it’s improbable he will have that type of success again. When he’s in the lineup, though, Gatcomb can provide utility in the form of hits if you’re in need of help in that category.
