Lian Bichsel

21-Year-Old DefensemanD
Dallas Stars
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Bichsel played in just 38 games in the regular season, but threw a staggering 155 hits, on pace for 334 hits over a full 82-game season. The 21-year-old finished the 2024-25 season as a lineup regular and also appeared in all 18 of the Stars' postseason contests. While the offense wasn't there -- he finished with 10 combined points in 56 games between regular season and postseason -- there is definitely another level to discover in the young defenseman's game. Entering his second season in the NHL, Bichsel should have a regular role in the lineup and the chance to stack up hits and elevate his game offensively over a full year, leaving him as a deep potential breakout candidate that should be available at the tail end of drafts. First multi-goal game of career
DDallas Stars
March 3, 2026
Bichsel scored two goals in Monday's 6-1 win over the Canucks.
ANALYSIS
Bichsel gave the Stars a 2-1 lead in the second period with a slap shot and later closed out the scoring in the latter stages of the third frame. The 21-year-old defenseman has appeared in the Stars' three games after the break following a 31-game absence between Dec. 2 and Feb. 4 due to a lower-body injury. Despite this outing, don't expect Bichsel to become a steady fantasy contributor overnight, especially considering he holds a bottom-pair role in the Stars' defensive scheme.
