2025 Fantasy Outlook
Ohgren is coming off of a very successful campaign with AHL Iowa, posting 19 goals and 18 assists in 41 games. He also got into 24 games with Minnesota, producing two goals and three assists. The 21-year-old never got a ton of ice time during his NHL call-ups -- he averaged just 11:06 of ice time -- and the Wild’s tight cap situation limited his opportunities. Heading into 2025-26, there are spots to grab in the lineup for the young winger, including in a top-nine role. If he nabs an everyday spot, he brings plenty of goal-scoring potential to the Wild lineup and is someone who would likely play on the second power-play unit. That certainly makes his situation worth monitoring in training camp, and he could be a good value pick towards the later end of deeper drafts. Read Past Outlooks

If Ohgren stays on the top line, he'll be a moderately intriguing option for deeper fantasy formats to close out the campaign.

General manager Bill Guerin said Thursday that Ohgren will have an "incredible opportunity" to step up early in the regular season while Mats Zuccarello is sidelined due to an undisclosed issue, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

The exact reason for Zuccarello's absence hasn't yet been revealed, but it appears as though Ohgren will have more consistent chances to contribute early in the regular season.
