Liam Foudy

With the Blue Jackets going nowhere fast, Foudy got into 67 games for the club a season ago, posting seven goals and 14 points. He failed to record a point with the man advantage and finished with a ghastly minus-26 rating. Foudy is still just 24 years of age and is a first-round pick (No. 18 overall, 2018), but there would appear to be a scenario in which he begins next season in the press box or the minors. Foudy has no fantasy value, even in keeper/dynasty formats.

The 18th overall pick in the 2018 draft, Foudy put together an impressive final season in juniors with 28 goals and 68 points in 45 games for OHL London before making his Blue Jackets debut late in the campaign and then taking a regular shift during the club's postseason run. While he didn't make a big impact on the scoresheet, his first NHL goal was a big one, helping to finish off the Leafs in the qualifying round. Foudy's best asset is his skating, as his speed and acceleration are both elite, and he complements it with a well-rounded game at both ends of the ice. While he may not have the pure offensive skills to become a top-line winger, he could thrive in a middle-six role, either as a second-line pest or on a dangerous checking unit. Foudy won't turn 21 until February, but he seems ready to push for a roster spot in Columbus.
