2026 Projections
Signs one-year deal
Brossoit signed a one-year, $1.1 million contract with the Ducks on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Brossoit had a 15-11-1 record, 3.06 GAA and .901 save percentage in 28 regular-season outings between AHL San Jose and Rockford in 2025-26. The 33-year-old is a veteran of 141 career regular-season NHL games, so he's a viable option for Anaheim to play if Lukas Dostal or Ville Husso suffers an injury. However, Brossoit will probably begin 2026-27 in the minors.

Brossoit is coming off the best statistical season of his career. Backing up Connor Hellebuyck, he went 15-5-2 with a sparkling 2.00 GAA and .927 save percentage, and he delivered the 12th-best GSAx (goals saved above expected). Broissoit will push Petr Mrazek to even greater heights in 2024-25 and earn up to 25-30 games. His stats won't be nearly as good as they were in Winnipeg, but he could be good enough to help fantasy managers off the waiver wire sometimes.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
First NHL start since 2024?
Brossoit is expected to start Sunday against the Senators, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Should Brossoit make the start, it would be his first start since April of 2024. The lower-body injury to Yaroslav Askarov and the Sharks being on the second of a back-to-back have opened the door for the 32-year-old Brossoit to make his NHL return. He is 11-2-1 with a 2.48 GAA and a .915 save percentage on the season with AHL San Jose since being traded from the Blackhawks organization.
