After being limited to 65 regular-season appearances in 2023-24 due to a knee injury, Connor skated in 82 games during the 2024-25 regular season. He was one of only eight NHL players to surpass the 40-goal plateau, and he finished seventh in the league with a career-high 97 points. Connor also ranked eighth with 267 shots on goal. Since the 2017-18 campaign, he has the eighth-most goals on the 10th-most shots in the league. He earned 28 power-play points last season, marking the third time in four years that he has recorded at least 28 points with the man advantage. A knee injury limited Connor in 2023-24, but he was still effective when healthy, providing 34 goals and 61 points across 65 contests. Connor has only crossed the 40-goal milestone once in his career, so the 27-year-old might not jump out at you as one of the league's premier goal scorers, but he ranks eighth over the past five campaigns with 176 tallies in 353 games thanks to his consistency. Except for the pandemic-shortened 2020-21 campaign and his 20-game 2016-17 rookie season, Connor has surpassed the 30-goal milestone in every season of his career. He's been a decent playmaker too, resulting in him surpassing the 70-point mark on three occasions over his career, and he likely would have done it for the fourth time last year had he stayed healthy. There's better out there, but Connor being a safe bet to score at least 30 goals certainly counts for something.
