Bahl carved out a spot in Calgary’s top four alongside Rasmus Andersson last season. Unfortunately, all that playing time didn’t lead to Bahl standing out offensively. He finished with three goals and 20 points across 73 appearances, which was a step up from his 11 points in 82 regular-season outings with New Jersey in 2023-24, but it’s still nothing special. He was more noteworthy in terms of PIM (35), hits (109) and blocks (116) last year, which gives him some versatility in leagues that use two or more of those categories, but it hurts that he doesn’t separate himself from the pack in any one statistic. Although there are use cases for him, especially if he plays with the kind of physicality he demonstrated in 2023-24 (82 PIM and 151 hits), most fantasy managers would be safe to look elsewhere.
