2025 Fantasy Outlook
Having played college hockey at Northeastern University, Hryckowian was not drafted by an NHL club, but he ultimately caught the eye of the Stars, who signed him to a two-year, entry-level deal in March of 2024. The left-shot center got off to a relatively sluggish start in the minors in 2023-24, but he made a name for himself last year with AHL Texas, accruing 22 goals, 60 points and a plus-15 rating over 67 regular-season contests. Hryckowian was also stellar during the 2025 Calder Cup playoffs, banking nine goals and 18 points across 14 outings. Dallas has a talented forward group, so the 24-year-old might not receive many opportunities to contribute to the scoresheet in 2025-26, but he is certainly a player to monitor going forward, especially if injuries arise and open up consistent playing time. Hryckowian has grinded his entire hockey career to reach this point after going undrafted during his years of eligibility, and his strong all-around numbers reflect his work-hard story. Since March 6, he has four goals, seven points, 18 shots on net, 18 hits and 10 blocked shots over 12 games. He has solid fantasy value as a streaming option in category-based leagues for the remainder of the fantasy playoffs.
