The 33-year-old is a depth defenseman, so it’s not surprising that he logged just 37 games last year, and Oesterle will probably see limited opportunities again with Nashville this season unless long-term injuries thrust him into a bigger role. When he is in the lineup, though, Oesterle is a solid source of blocks, and he does okay offensively.
