2025 Fantasy Outlook
Drouin was limited to 43 regular-season outings with Colorado in 2024-25, but he was effective when available, recording 11 goals and 37 points. Combine that with the 19 goals and 56 points across 79 regular-season outings he provided in 2023-24, and it’s fair to say that his time with Colorado was successful. However, Drouin greatly benefited from regularly sharing the ice with Nathan MacKinnon and, until he was traded, Mikko Rantanen, so Drouin’s decision to sign a two-year, $8 million contract with the Islanders over the summer will likely hurt his offensive production. While Mathew Barzal and Bo Horvat are good in their own right, they’re not at the same level as the linemates Drouin has frequently had in recent years. It’s still possible for Drouin to flirt with 50 points in 2025-26 if he stays healthy, but it wouldn’t be shocking if he dips to 40. Read Past Outlooks
Registers helper in win
Drouin picked up an assist and two shots on goal in Monday's 6-3 win over the Wild.
ANALYSIS
Drouin has failed to make much of an impact since he was acquired from the Islanders in the Brayden Schenn deal. Through eight outings with the Blues, Drouin has two points and 10 shots on net while filling a middle-six role, but he's also been out of the lineup 10 times since his St. Louis debut. Overall, the 31-year-old has just 23 points, 83 shots on net, 32 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 63 outings this season. That suggests his success from the previous two years had more to do with the winning environment he was in with the Avalanche rather than anything Drouin was individually accomplishing.

It was a career year in Colorado for Drouin, as he racked up personal bests in assists (37) and points (56) in 79 regular-season outings. It was a fruitful enough partnership that the two sides agreed to a one-year, $2.5 million deal this offseason. Assuming the 29-year-old playmaker can repeat those numbers this year, he almost certainly will garner more term on another deal in the future. For now, the winger figures to remain in a first-line role playing alongside Nathan MacKinnon - though that role could be challenged by Gabriel Landeskog if he can return from a long-term knee injury. In addition, Drouin figures to be a fixture with the top power-play group, making him a top-end fantasy target this season.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Might be shopped
The Blues will likely be open to trading Drouin over the summer, per Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Drouin's two-year, $8 million contract runs through the 2026-27 campaign, but he doesn't seem to have a role with the Blues. Rutherford believes that St. Louis had to take Drouin from the Islanders on March 6 to make the Brayden Schenn trade happen, which would explain why Drouin was a healthy scratch in eight of St. Louis' final 13 games. It might be difficult to move Drouin after he was limited to just four goals and 24 points in 64 appearances in 2025-26, but a change of scenery might be best for both sides.
