2025 Fantasy Outlook
The last two seasons have been tough for Siegenthaler, who’s battled injuries throughout both campaigns. He has missed more than 20 games in each of the last two campaigns after missing just 14 contests combined over his first two full seasons in New Jersey. When he’s healthy, he logs a lot of minutes as a top-four defenseman, but doesn’t fill the stat sheet. He finished 2024-25 with two goals and seven assists, along with just 75 hits and 92 blocked shots in 55 regular-season appearances. As a result, the 28-year-old doesn’t hold a ton of fantasy value. Rare multi-point effort
Siegenthaler logged two assists, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Stars.
ANALYSIS
Siegenthaler snapped an 18-game point drought with the effort, which saw him assist Jesper Bratt and Connor Brown in the first period. While Siegenthaler has been a regular presence in the Devils' lineup, it's mostly because of his defensive play. He's at nine points, 52 shots on net, 44 PIM, 83 hits and 11 blocked shots over 70 appearances. He has not reached double digits in points since he had 21 over 80 outings in 2022-23.

Siegenthaler missed more than a month in the middle of the season with a broken foot and then suffered a concussion after being hit by Matt Rempe of the Rangers in a mid-March matchup. All told, Siegenthaler appeared in 57 games, managing a single goal and nine points. He's never offered much in the way of offensive production and his hit and block totals are mediocre for a defenseman, but Siegenthaler has fit in very nicely alongside Dougie Hamilton on New Jersey's top defensive pair. With Hamilton presumably back to full strength for this coming season, the partnership figures to continue for the 2024-25 campaign.
