2025 Fantasy Outlook
After seeing his contract expire July 1, Kiviranta returns to the Avs on a fresh one-year deal signed in early August. The 29-year-old winger is coming off a solid 2024-25 campaign in which he set personal bests in goals (16), assists (seven) and games played (79) during the regular season. Without a clear power-play role, the Finn figures to offer between 25-30 points this upcoming campaign while filling a bottom-six job for the Avs -- though he could face challenges from T.J. Tynan and Tye Felhaber for a spot in the lineup. Read Past Outlooks
Questionable for Saturday
Kiviranta's upper-body issue is related to his eye. He's questionable for Saturday's game against Nashville, Corey Masisak of The Denver Post reports Friday.
ANALYSIS
Kiviranta left Thursday's 6-2 win over Florida due to the injury. If he can't play Saturday, then Zakhar Bardakov will probably serve on the fourth line.

2020
Kiviranta burst onto the scene with an impressive performance in the 2019-20 postseason, racking up five goals and one assist in 14 contests. Since then, the 28-year-old winger has underwhelmed, reaching the 10-point threshold just once in the last four campaigns. Heading into the 2024-25 season, Kiviranta will face competition for minutes from Jean-Luc Foudy and Chase Bradley - a situation that will be further complicated once Valeri Nichushkin is eligible to return from suspension. All that to say, fantasy managers probably shouldn't be banking on Kiviranta being an offensive force in the NHL.

ANALYSIS
It would be Kiviranta's second straight game out of the lineup. He has two goals, five points, 21 hits and 12 blocks in 14 contests this season. When Kiviranta gets his next opportunity with Colorado, it will likely be as part of the fourth line.
